The JPoncePilates difference
Getting results is my ultimate goal. With an expertise and depth of knowledge of the Pilates Method, I’ve spent years developing an understanding of Pilates in practice and in teaching so that you can get an effective high-impact workout every single time you visit my studio.
JPonce Pilates is a private home studio focusing on fitness and rehabilitation for beginning to advanced students. In Private sessions, each Pilates workout is based on principles designed to engage and strengthen your core and increase overall muscle tone. Here, you will receive individualized and vigorous exercise programs rooted in balance and stability.
JPoncePilates also provides post-rehabilitation programs for anyone recovering from injury and needing pain management. By applying the Pilates fundamentals of core strengthening and flexibility, my studio can help you during or after physical therapy to complement or continue healing and prevent future re-injury.
After completing a Health History intake form, your first lesson will include a postural assessment as I take the time to get to know you and learn about your lifestyle and personal fitness goals. From this initial meeting, I will customize your sessions to help you achieve your goals and perform at your highest level. Whether that means cross-training for your sport, recovering from injury or surgery, or achieving body composition goals, I can help.
What is Pilates and how can it help you?
Named for Joseph Pilates (1880-1968), this method of exercise is known for his development of specific mat and equipment-based movement exercises. Pilates addresses muscle strength and flexibility to improve postural alignment, balance, and coordination. There are many different approaches to teaching Pilates. My approach focuses on the details of movement while considering the unique and specific needs of each client.
Pilates realigns and reeducates the body. With practice of specific exercises, along with focused breathing patterns, Pilates has proven itself invaluable, not only as a fitness endeavor, but as an important cross training method to sports training, and physical rehabilitation of all kinds. Pilates is well-suited for all fitness levels and body types including athletes, individuals with pain, seniors, pregnant women, and just about anybody else who seeks a balanced body.
